MOCK Test results are available online
BASCS students' MOCK test results are ready online. You can
get all details of your child test scores by login into BASCS Test
Center. Thank you to all test administrators, floaters and everyone
contributed to this important organization. Special thanks go to
teachers who prepared the test booklets and graded all test papers in a
very short time. Also special thanks go to Mr. Mamaloglu (Testing
Coordinator) and IT department for their hard work and professional
organization. Many congratulations to all BASCS students for their
success.

BASCS 2008 Winter Concert was a Success
On December the 17th, Wednesday night BASCS witnessed a
great turn out of participants to 2008 Winter Concert. All performers
did a fantastic job. Thank you to all teachers who worked hard to make
this year’s concert a successful organization. Special thanks go
to Mr. Hyseni and Ms. Palacios for their hard work and efforts.

1st MOCK TEST is a Success
BASCS is proud to announce that 1st MOCK test week is
continuing very successfully.
Students of 3rd – 6th grades are taking practice tests in LAL,
MATH and SCIENCE during this week. ALL tests are designed very similar
to official NJ ASK format. Individual student’s reports will be
available online as soon as their open ended questions be checked and
graded. Test results will be discussed with all faculties and necessary
plans will be implemented right after the holiday.

BASCS 2008 Winter Concert
Dear Parent/Guardian:
BASCS invites you, your family and friends to attend our upcoming
winter concert on December 17, 2008. BASCS Music Department will
present a concert at 6:00 p.m. in the School Gym. The concert will feature
a variety of musical selections.

 NJ-ASK AFTER SCHOOL
TUTORIALS HAVE STARTED
BASCS has started NJ ASK after school tutorials. Tutorials
are mandatory for low scored students and will initially be given after
schools. You will be called to be informed which tutorial your child is
assigned to. Please make arrangements to have your child remain in
school from 3:30pm-4:30pm on the days of tutorials.

New Update
With the new update on our student database now parents of
BASCS may expect to get their child’s progress report in their
emails on a weekly basis. If you already have provided your email to
school, you will be receiving the most updated progress report every
Thursday. If you want to update or add your email address to the school
database please contact school office.

BASCS Reading Recovery Program
Our first priority at the Bergen Arts and Science Charter
School is to insure that all children achieve at high levels in all
academic areas. Towards that effort we assess all Kindergarten through
grade 2 students in the area of reading skills based on the New Jersey
State standards. We analyze the results and determine areas where our

BASCS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
BASCS has created and implemented a successful after
school program. The “After School Program” has generated an
enthusiastic participation from teachers and students. The purpose of
the program is to provide a variety of structured educational
activities. A range of activities include: Art Design, Theatre, Jazzy
Jewelry, Creative Writing, Crafts, Computers and many more! We provide
Study Hall for students to complete homework assignments or school
projects. Fun and safe sports like flag football, soccer and basketball
are also part of the program.
