BASCS Elementary will be celebrating Read Across America Week February 27 through March 2, 2012 with Dr. Seuss related activities and book pairings. The list of events students will be participating in throughout the week can be found below.

Ms. Fantasia’s 6th grade Language Arts classes recently completed their second novel, Lois Lowry’s THE GIVER. Students were challenged with a choice of tasks for their final projects: from designing and building a 3-D a community to developing an interactive game; from penning the final chapter of the novel to delivering an eloquent speech as the title character; to writing a script, and acting out or filming a scene from the book. The BASCS/PASCS District Science Fair that took place on February 11, 2012 was a great success!
